About us
Our Story
The story starts with a couple of basic babes moving in together. Naturally, we imagined our outfit options would double as we gained a sister down the hallway (awww cute, but that’s a story for another day)! So we have two gals, two wardrobes but two very different body shapes.
After many attempts at tucking, tying, pinning, and even destroying a few items with scissors we realised pretty quickly that sharing our clothes wasn’t everything we had dreamed of, until the idea for The Basic Band came along, a single item that would allow us to temporarily alter our clothing (without damaging) to fit ourselves and each other better.
Once we had the item in our hands and on our bods we quickly realised that we were wearing it on the daily and that we wanted to share it with the rest of the world, and so The Basic Band was born.
